Originally from Charlottesville Virginia, DMB is the collaboration of 5 exceptionally talented musicians: Dave Matthews, LeRoi Moore, Stefan Lessard, Boyd Tinsley, and Carter Beauford. Walking the line between rock, jazz, and bluegrass, Dave Matthews Band is a jam band loved by a variety of fans world-wide.

Dave is a Prophet
For years and years I was the girl saying, "turn that sh*t off the radio NOW" in regards to anything DMB-related. Doggie on a chain, monkey on a 'strang'... damn harmonica! I actually trace my former distaste for the Dave Matthews Band back to the harmonica infused song "What Would You Say" which came out right as the boy I was dating began learning to play the aforementioned instrument, a horrible case of anti-serendipity.
Eleven years later, I attended a Dave Matthews Band show at the Gorge Amphitheatre, camping out for three days, where I discovered my love of dancing and after which I peeled off the bottom layers of both my feet. Now, less than a year later, I own every one of DMB's studio albums and am working on the live ones, I have the ringtone, the wallpaper, tickets in hand for this year's show; I know all the lyrics, even the ones that Dave screws up because he is a bit inebriated, or high, or just in the mood.
I say "Dave is a Prophet" at least once a week, and stand by my assertion that he is the only man in the universe that can make a Southern accent sound sexy. Dave gives it. I want to buy everyone I know a ticket to a DMB show so they can experience the energy that this band and their audience bandies about in the cool night air, preferably over the Columbia River gorge in eastern Washington. Now if Dave would only sing my favorite song, "Say Goodbye," a rarity on the live scene, my head might just explode.
