Paul Fenniak
Biography
Born in Toronto in 1965, Paul Fenniak completed his B.F.A. at Queen's University in Kingston then continued his studies at Concordia University in Montreal (M.F.A., 1993) Exploring the depths of the human psyche, his compositions have been described as conveying "a new sensibility, an independent vision at work and a return to the essentials and excitement of painting". A retrospective exhibition of his work was mounted at the Mendel Art Gallery in Saskatoon and the McLaughlin Art Gallery in Oshawa in 2000. He was also awarded a grant from the prestigious Pollack-Krasner Foundation.
