The Star of Washington, DC Restaurant Week: Ristorante Tosca

The time has come for fine dining on a budget through Washington, DC Restaurant Week.  For three weeks during the summer, the Washington, DC metropolitan area turns into a festival of affordable fine dining through Washington, DC Restaurant Week, Bethesda-Chevy Chase Restaurant Week, and Alexandria Restaurant Week.  These Restaurant Weeks provide great opportunities to sample the area\’s fine restaurants for dinner at $35.10 or less.  For details about each week, read further below.

As mentioned in my Bethesda-Chevy Chase Restaurant Week article, it makes sense to maximize your bargain gourmet dining experience by looking for places that are pricey and highly-rated for their food as well as showcase their best during Restaurant Week.

The epitome of excellence during Restaurant Week has been Ristorante Tosca.  In Tim Carman’s article, Tosca’s Executive Chef Massimo Fabbri explains why Tosca puts forth their best efforts, offering their entire menu and executing with the same top-notch quality and consistency as with the rest of year.  FYI: Tosca is the first one to get booked, so hurry to reserve a table.

I am a DC-area native—born on Virginia soil, grew up mostly on the Maryland side, and went to college in the District.  Having dealt with obesity for 5 years, I overcame it as a teenager by evolving my diet and enthusiastically practicing martial arts. My two biggest passions in life are the martial arts (which I teach) and food.  My specific interests with regards to food include the following: cooking, dining out, and savoring; studying on nutrition and sourcing of ingredients; learning and sharing about a variety of foods/cuisines.
